FUJIOH Nutty Pink Nougat

Nutty Pink Nougat Recipe

Servings: 24 bite-size pieces
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 100g Butter, for cooking
  • 5g Butter, to grease the pan
  • 50g Marie Biscuits, smashed
  • 300g Pink Marshmallows
  • 150g Milk Powder, divided into three 50g portions
  • 100g Mixed Nuts, smashed
  • 50g Dried Cranberries
  • Icing sugar, optional
  • Baking paper for wrapping the bite size nougat, optional

Preparation Steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Marshmallow Base

  1. Break the biscuits into smaller pieces.
  2. Allow 100g of butter to soften at room temperature for 15 minutes. Melt it in a non-stick pan over low heat.
  3. Add the 300g of pink marshmallows to the pan and stir until they are fully melted and have a fluffy, cloud-like appearance. Continue to cook it over low heat. 
  4. Gradually add the milk powder, 50g at a time, stirring well after each addition until all the milk powder is incorporated.

Step 2: Mix and Set

  1. Stir in the smashed biscuits, mixed nuts, and dried cranberries into the marshmallow mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a greased or baking paper-lined pan, spreading it evenly.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for 1 hour or until it has set and hardened.
  4. Unmold and cut into bite-size pieces.
  5. To serve, you may drizzle some icing sugar on the top layer. (Optional)
  6. To pack for consumption later, you may wrap them individually in baking paper and store in air-tight container. (Optional)
